Laura Vitez, Winner of the First Prize in the Caspi Art International Competition

Laura Vitez is a 14-year-old composer from Budapest, Hungary, and a multiple-time participant and first-prize winner of the “Caspi Art” competitions.

Already at the age of three or four, Laura would sit down at the piano and play melodies by Shostakovich and Beethoven by ear. She began composing at the age of six or seven, even before receiving any formal music education. Her earliest compositions were short melodies. At age ten, she wrote her first piano piece and immediately afterward won two international competitions for young composers in Italy and Canada. Naturally, her creative journey did not stop there. Within just four years, Laura composed 29 piano works and won more than 40 international competitions, earning awards such as those from New York, Toronto, London, Moscow, Open Asia 2022, Super Cup 2022 Fiestalonia (Spain), London Sky 2021, Magnificent Istanbul 2021, Youngest Talent 2021 (Amsterdam), and the Future Talent Award London 2021.

Most recently, she won the Grand Prix Virtuoso 2023 (Austria) and the Golden Classic Music Awards 2023 (New York).

Thanks to her numerous international competitions and victories, her artistic work has gained recognition across many countries worldwide. She has performed on stages in Hungary and this past July appeared at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In December, she will perform in Bonn at a concert dedicated to the birthday of the great composer Beethoven.

At the beginning of October this year, Laura released her first major album of original compositions titled “Fly Free.”

Her personal motto is: “I want to bring as much joy as possible to people through my music and create something enduring.”
